2018 Bear Path Red Wine
2018 Bear Path Red Wine
Sourced exclusively from the Napa Valley. The Red Wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Malbec, 10% Syrah and 2% Petit Verdot. The sourcing for the fruit covers vineyards as far south as Oak Knoll and as far north as Calistoga.
The result of this appellation spread is a blending of the characteristics typical of each area into a melange of influences some more Bordeaux in character with other higher brix areas showing more extracted fruit and richness.
This unique blend brings together a variety of fruit ranging from black currant, lavender, plum and blackberry.
On the palate the wine is mouth-filling and shows the influence of 24 months aging in medium toast French oak barrels. The wine is ready to drink and pairs wonderfully with BBQ, red meats, salmon and a variety of fresh made pasta ranging from cream sauces to fresh vegetables and spicy sausage.

2019 Dove & Stone Chalk Hill
Sourced from the Chalk Hill appellation. This viticultural area is south of the Alexander Valley and defined by the rolling hills of the Mayacamas Mountains.
This fruit is typically more intense and deeper in color than the fruit found in the Alexander Valley. The fruit is similar to fruit sourced from the bench lands of eastern Oakville, where the wines are well structured and built to enjoy over many years.
This is one of the premiere growing regions in Sonoma County for production of exceptional Bordeaux varietals.
The Dove and Stone 2019 Red Wine is a blend of 67% Petit Verdot and 33% Merlot. This blend of Bordeaux varietals produced a wine that displays both well integrated tannins in addition to intense color and fruit.
Layers of black currant, chocolate and cherry define the wine. The wine lends itself to the classic combinations of dry aged beef, chops and lamb or more spicy combinations including pork cheek ragu, hot sausage and pasta or a combination of aged cheeses and an evening with good friends.
Whatever the occasion, this wine will delight.

2020 Wild Run Red
This fruit that makes up this California Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced primarily from the Lodi appellation in addition to fruit sourced from the Tracy Bench.
Both areas are known for quality. The wine shows greater concentration of fruit due to the bench land vineyards that make up the bulk of the blend. Deep gravel soil and cool nights are the hallmarks of each vineyard source used in the Wild Run Cabernet Sauvignon.
The ultimate result is an exceptionally drinkable Cabernet Sauvignon that retails at an exceptional price.
The Wild Run Cabernet Sauvignon is bright garnet in color indicating the vineyards sources of the fruit. The flavor profiles of black currant, cherry and layers of vanilla from French oak define the wine.
While not overwhelming to the degree that years of aging are necessary to approach, the wine is complex and delivers exceptional value with every sip.
Consider serving with aged cheeses, red meats, BBQ and a variety of Italian inspired dishes or simply with good friends and conversation.

2020 Sonoma Crest Dry Creek Valley
This wine is sourced from a Dry Creek Valley vineyard just north of the Russian River Valley appellation.
As a result, the wine acts more like Russian River in fruit and total acidity.
The clone in this case is the classic Wente clone famous for its Burgundian character lingering fruit and distinctive mineralogy.
The wine was harvested and cold settled moving straight into neutral oak for fermentation. The result is a wine that maintains its unique stone fruit character of white peach and apricot while maintaining its delicate mineralogy.
Fermentation in neutral oak gave the wine the weight needed to balance the various components of the wine without resorting to residual sugar additions. Ready to drink now and over the next 5 years.

2018 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Viticultural Appellation
The 2018 Sonoma Crest Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from fruit spanning Sonoma County.
Portions of the wine come from the Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley and the Sonoma Valley. Each of these areas has its own unique soil type in addition to average degree day heat indexes leading to a melange of complex flavors and tannin levels.
While the fruit from the Alexander Valley is from a cooler more red fruit area near the Russian River, the Dry Creek fruit is plush and easily accessible with the higher heat and silky smooth fruit coming from the Sonoma Valley adding a touch of plum in the cornucopia of fruits found in this ready to drink Cabernet Sauvignon.
The expanse of different viticultural growing areas contained within Sonoma County are a winemakers dream.
Drawing from different AVA’s with dramatically different characteristics leads to a wine that is multi faceted, complex and easily enjoyed especially after aging for over 40 months undisturbed in new French Oak. Fruit stand outs are dark cassis, blueberry, dark chocolate and toasty oak while maintaining plush integrated tannins that give life while not inhibiting immediate enjoyment.
This is a very sophisticated Cabernet Sauvignon at a very affordable price. Treat yourself better by including Sonoma Crest 2018 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon with your next steak, BBQ’s lamb, and or pasta dish with just a dash of Louisiana hot sauce to bring out the flavor in everything.

Beautifully integrated aromas of cassis and dark chocolate lift from the glass.
Upon entry the fruit explodes fulfilling the promise of the inky black color.
Tannins, silky but powerful, layers of cassis, dark chocolate with racy black cherry and fresh-from-the-oven wild blackberry pie precede sweet French oak.
The finish is long, beginning in the glass and ending with one of California’s highest elevation vineyards.

BYRD 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes:
Elevation Matters.
At 2,400 feet above the valley floor, Cabernet Sauvignon takes on a distinctive Bordeaux character.
The wine’s fruit opens slowly in perfect sync with a fine meal or related conversation.
Patience rewards with layers of red and black currants that warm like the rich, deep, soul-shaking strokes of a bow on a cello.
Racy staccato spice and French horn vanilla compete to dominate the finish.
The symphony elevates toward the last movement, lingering in memory beyond time.

Tasting Notes:
Hues of blue and purple going into red are reflected in the soil and the fruit.
The last light of the day prismatically expands into layers of color and fruit, which are revealed in this wine, moving from aroma to finish uninterrupted.
The wine is a blessing to be paired with foods that, dare I say, contain fat.
This wine dances with marbled beef, cream and stinky cheeses.
